Document Process Metadata (DP) is a complement to the biblographic metadata in Dublin Core (DC) for document at work.

DP constructs a document infrastructure that carries most routines over system borders. It extends and creates a standard for documents at work.

The generic functions are associated process:

  • Class (or Type)
  • State
  • Relation
  • Roles

Using DP is as simple as using word processor templates that stores information as properties or metadata within the document or the filesystem. None of this is realy shown while creating the documents, but the result is that it gets gets much more simplified in use.

Since information from the working process is stored with the document, its easy to follow and unpdate the document from many applications or databases. You are not bound by enterprise applications anymore!
